GOAT - LEVITATION SESSIONS - poster by Ventral is Golden
Today, Swedish psych collective GOAT debuts the first track “Golden Dawn” off their upcoming Levitation Session. Their session film and live album was recorded in the heart of winter in early 2023, capturing the alchemy of the band’s creative process and a glimpse of their legendary live show, filmed in the band’s studio headquarters. The live film has also been pressed to beautiful 12" wax with exclusive jacket art made for each USA and UK/EU Record Stores, available now at levitation.fm.
“We chose to record the session in our old temple during a cold night under a huge midnight sun in the darkest winter time. We thought it would bring out the best magic in us and we think it did. As the hours went by it started to loosen up and we went into some free form experiments with our electronics. In the end, this film became a perfect representation of what we do when we hang out“ - GOAT

Recorded in Reggio Emilia in Italy, Dumbo Gets Mad invites us into the taste of a European summer day. “In the countryside of my hometown there is a forgotten Villa from the 1700s that is surrounded by peace and quiet. It is a pastoral place that hosted my band and me for this special session. We got there on a hot summer day, hooked up a Studer mixing console, and started playing a bunch of Dumbo Gets Mad jams. When the sun came down, we realized that our session was over but it had been a very nice day indeed, one that I had the pleasure to spend with friends and music.” - Dumbo
